I am truth 

In the distance 

Pulled from deepest wells 

I’m the hand when yours needs to be held 

I’m the place where trust never fails

Know me for my heart and faithfulness 

Know me to be rooted in reality 

To state fact 

To lead in truth is not full of heartfelt desires 

But places we wished never to go 

Knowing the path lit in front of us 

Will lead to the most growth 

Truth will set you free

If you seek and stand with it 

If you hide from its ugly you’ll missed out on the gift 

Truth can be the ground from which you step 

The love that you will feel 

It is wrapped up in our joy 

And all the places that need to be healed 

It’s honesty beyond comfort 

It’s speaking without fear 

Because we all deserve a whisper of what is real

As life shifts and tumbles around is 

Staying true to ourselves is the only thing that will ground us 

And it’ll weaken our knees 

Because it is not always here to lull or sooth

But we continue to hold it

Because deep within us 

We all desire truth
